How to Access Your Medical Mutual Coverage, Benefits and More

Medical Mutual’s digital platforms are essential tools for members who want to stay connected to their coverage, benefits and ways to support their overall health and wellness. All members have access to our online insurance portal, My Health Plan, as well as the free MedMutual mobile app. Ryan DeBiase, Manager of Digital Experience at Medical Mutual, explained how to get started and make the most of these tools.

Getting Started

Using My Health Plan on a Computer

  1. Open an internet browser and go to member.medmutual.com.
  2. If you need to create an account, click “Register for an Account” and follow the prompts. You will need your member ID number, which you can find on your member ID card.

Using the MedMutual Smartphone App

  1. Open your device’s app store: App Store® on iPhones; Google Play™ on Android devices.
  2. Search for “MedMutual” and look for the white Medical Mutual logo on a teal background. Install the app.
  3. Log in using the same username and password you use to access My Health Plan. If you need to create an account, tap “Register” and follow the prompts. You will need your member ID number.

Key Features of My Health Plan and the MedMutual App

There are four key features of our digital portals that every Medical Mutual member should know:

  1. Find a Provider tool: This tool helps you find in-network providers near you.
  2. Temporary ID card: Access, download and print a copy of your Medical Mutual member ID number. “We understand you might not always have your ID card on you at all times physically, but if you have access to the MedMutual mobile app, you can pull up a temporary card,” DeBiase explained. “It’s a digital copy of your card and just as useful.”
  3. Deductible and out-of-pocket information: The portal offers you a comprehensive view of your progress toward deductibles, coinsurance, copays and maximum out-of-pocket expenses.
  4. Claims summary: Get access to your claims summary and view covered services, insurance payments, discounts and more.

In addition, My Health Plan and our app includes direct access to digital portals for Medical Mutual’s dental, vision, pharmacy and wellness partners. “We offer secure, one-click access to our partner services, so you do not have to manage multiple logins or passwords,” DeBiase said. You can access other resources and information, such as our Nurse Line, frequently asked questions (FAQs), a glossary and community resources. These can be viewed under the in the “Resources & Tools” menu on My Health Plan. Resources also include programs designed to help you live healthier, including fitness, weight loss and overall wellness. Access these from the “Healthy Living” menu on My Health Plan or the “Wellness” icon in the MedMutual app.
